Have I mentioned that, over New Year's, I went to Iceland? Yes, I did.
Lots going on in Iceland. The country is having a financial meltdown like ours, only worse. It was caused by the same thing that caused ours: greedy fat cats in the banking business and their enablers in the government.
However, in Iceland, it's not like here; people don't take such things lying down. Icelanders take to the streets. They've been holding protests for four months now. This week, things came to a head. Prime Minister Geir Haarde tendered his resignation. So, know who's going to be the new PM? Johanna Siguroardottir, a lesbian. (Pictured here.) That's right, Iceland is going to have the first openly lesbian head of government anywhere in the world.
