These past few days have been two of the most empowering and interesting days for a lowly intern such as me. I never thought that I could learn so much without physically being in the office and doing a research paper.
As loud and outspoken as I am, I would never be able to go in front of a room full of those who oppose my views, knowing that I was flying solo, and still give a coherent and strong statement. Yesterday Marcia took me to an open forum on the need for no-fault divorce, a bill that NOW is adamantly against. All I knew was that 60% of all marriages end in divorce and divorce is mad complicated; basically, I'm never getting married because what's the point if there's such a big chance it's going to end anyway.
